Manufacturing Premises
In 1990, Centurion Safety Products moved to new manufacturing premises to accommodate its growing requirements. Plans allowed further expansion on the site at a later date. This occurred in 1998, with the opening of an extension which doubled the production capacity. The acquisition of neighbouring premises in 2008 will allow for future planned growth.

Product Quality
As part of Centurion's commitment to product quality and innovation, the premises incorporate a modern and fully equipped laboratory, which is utilised for helmet and respiratory product development as well as routine quality assurance testing.
Centurion are founder members of the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF). This Federation is the leading trade body within the safety industry. Its members range from manufacturers and distributors, through to test houses, certification bodies and safety professionals. The Federation is also the Lead Association for the PPE Regulations in the UK (as designated by the DTi) and is recognised as a Competent Authority by the Health & Safety Executive. It has active links with many government departments and over 130 representative Trade Bodies. As such the BSIF is probably the best source of general information on most matters connected with occupational health and safety.
Centurion's emphasis on quality and innovation gained formal recognition with the achievement of ISO 9002 Quality Management System accreditation through the BSI in 1994 and ISO 9001 accreditation in 1996. These accreditations are and will be maintained and updated as these Standards are revised and upgraded.

Centurion also has products accredited with the BSI Kitemark, a further indication of the focus on product quality, which includes random external testing of normal manufactured product.

Quality assured product performance, subject to continual testing and assessment, is further enhanced by added value service from knowledgeable Health & Safety professionals.
