Magnum offers efficient and cost-effective systems to meet a very
broad spectrum of industrial applications, using latest materials
technology to maximise acceptance and comfort.
Durable and powerful, Magnum's compact power units produce flow rates of up to 180 litres of air per minute to the chosen headpiece. Weighing approximately 1kg (including the standard 8-hour battery or 4-hour alternative battery pack) Magnum power units are not only amongst the lightest available today, but also the most convenient and easy to use.
With great flexibility derived from the choice of 10 headpieces
available, the Magnum range also offers other optional features.
For example, the Magnum 2000 incorporates low battery
and blocked filter alarms to ensure full protection at all times,
while requiring filters to be changed only as necessary. |

Magnum 1000 Power Unit
The Martindale Magnum 1000 respiratory power unit, approved to
European Standard EN 146 THP2SL, provides high performance protection
against dust, mist and fumes. The lightweight belt-mounted Magnum 1000
is designed to deliver a continuous flow of filtered air to a wide variety
of headpieces including the Helmet with Flip-up Visor, Flip-up Visor
Lightweight Saronex Hood and Fixed Shade and Autochange Welding Visors.
Powered by a compact Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Battery, the high performance power unit provides typically 8 hours of constant usage, while its ultra-compact design with inbuilt cassette filter makes it ideal for use in areas of restricted movement.

Lightweight Tyvek Hood
- The newly launched lightweight Full Hood with an Acetate visor is manufactured from durable DuPont Tyvek F material (developed specially for chemical applications and is suitable for low temperature environments)
- It is suitable for use with the Magnum 1000, 2000 and 8500 power units and the Airforce Compressed Air System via the ConnectAir Adaptor
- When carrying out quantitative face fit testing, the Tyvek Hood provides a more comfortable alternative to tight fitting facepieces
- The plastic headband and cradle also provide extra comfort during prolonged use
- The headpiece can also be used as a low-cost disposable hood by replacing only the hood and then re-using the hose and connectors

Nuisance Odour Filters and Pre-Filters
Martindale Magnum power units come with a wide selection of filters and prefilters
offering protection against dust and particles, including solid
and water based aerosols.
New filters to the range provide effective protection against nuisance
odours as well as against dust and particles, while the pre-filters offer
additional nuisance odour protection supplementing the standard filter
fitted, and can be used with 1000 and 2000 power units.
Protection
The levels of protection and the classification of Powered Respirator Systems depends on the combination of Power Unit, Head Piece and Filter. Refer to detailed information in the product user instructions for the actual level of protection offered.

P2 MAX HELMET

- Available as an Integra version, P2 helmets offer
fully-integrated respiratory, head, face and hearing
protection - for use in the toughest industrial environments.
- So advanced are its components that a new British Standard (PAS016) had to be written to accommodate them - while also meeting European safety standard EN 397 for head protection and all relevant standards for individual elements.
Revolutionary advances include the extremely lightweight shell, developed from US space technology, combined with a powered air circulation system generating no more noise than the human voice. The electrostatic dust filter is capable of removing 95% of particles. |
