Compressed Air Systems - AIRFORCE
Common applications for compressed airfed systems include paint spraying, particularly isocyanate 2-pack paints, welding or working in areas of excessive fumes. The low cost of running and maintenance makes Airforce a highly cost-effective system, particularly useful in areas of high concentration of chemicals, where charcoal filters would be quickly saturated. Air is supplied by means of a lightweight, flexible airline hose, with airflow directed in such a way as to improve wearer comfort and provide mist-free vision. A positive pressure is created which excludes airborne contaminants and provides clean, odour-free air to the user.

ConnectAir AdaptorThe ConnectAir Adaptor - Providing Greater Flexibility! The ConnectAir Adaptor, now with an integrated charcoal filter, brings together the versatility and comfort of the Magnum powered headpieces with the respiratory protection of the Airforce range of compressed air products. The extensive range of Magnum headpieces can now be used either as a powered respiratory system using the Magnum power units or as a Compressed Air System using the Airforce regulators. The ConnectAir provides a comprehensive system that meets the majority of users requirements and applications. With 10 Magnum P2 and P3 headpieces the system can provide complete respiratory, head and face protection when required. A complete product range combining ease of use and adaptability, that also assists in inventory control, allowing one set of headpieces to be used with two Martindale respiratory systems.

Fresh-Air Supply Equipment - FRESH-AIRUNPOWERED FRESH-AIR HOSE SYSTEMMartindale's unpowered Fresh-Air system is ideal when a worker in a confined or heavily contaminated area needs an uncontaminated air supply. Without the need for motors, filters or batteries, the Fresh-Air system can supply uncontaminated air from an adjacent area. A twin airhose fitted to a Full Facemask is connected to a waist-mounted coupling. A 9 metre hose is then fitted to the coupling, and an intake strainer with hook and spike at the other end allows the hose to be securely fixed in the clean environment. It is a simple, effective, low-maintenance, low-cost respiratory system. MINI TURBINE POWERED FRESH-AIR HOSE SYSTEMMartindale's powered Fresh-Air system allows the wearer to operate in a confined area for longer periods than unpowered equipment permits, or to do heavier tasks, including work in dangerous or toxic areas which may be deficient in oxygen.Utilising the same Full Facemask, waist-mounted hose coupling and 9 metre hose, as the Unpowered system, the Mini Turbine powered system has a twin hose for fitting on the facemask incorporating an overflow valve to allow excessive air to escape. The intake strainer at the end of the unpowered hose is removed and attached to the powered Mini Turbine which is then connected to an electrical supply. Alternative powered hoses are available from 10 to 30 metres in length. The Mini Turbine, which can be placed up to 30 metres from the contaminated area, draws air from the immediate vicinity through a coarse, washable sponge filter and delivers air through a hose to one or two users.
